The expansion of mining in this area began in the area when the rulers Nemanjiće s brought miners from other countries. Rude, iron, chromium, manganese, molybdenum, cobalt, cadmium, copper, antimony, lead, zinc, coal, oil and ceme nt marl. A special group of minerals are breeders of steel. They are added to enhance some of its most importantbreeders karakteristike. U steel include chromium, mang anese, molybdenum, cobalt and kadmijum. Srbija has small amounts of coal. There are deposits of lignite coal, and coal. Three basins: Kostolac, Kosovo and Kolubara .Two places in Serbia that I found are Bor and Majdanpek. Bor began in 1979. Since then and now, 150,000,000 tons of ore has been lifted. Each year, they take out about 1.9 million tons of ore from the ground. The last production was in 2002. Majdanpek is 80 km away from Bor. It started in 1961. From there people in Serbia get Copper. For this blog post I researched a lot. I feel like I did a good job and I hope you learnt something new!

Mapping earthquakes and volcanoes
In science class we worked on our mapping skills and used latitude and longitude to plot Earthquake and Volcanic occurences on a world map. Since we learnt in Humanities how to find placed on a map using latitude and longitude. The question we were supose to answer was: Is there a pattern in the locations of earthquakes and volcanoes? Well...what do you think? My hypothesis is: I think there is a pattern because for example the earthquake in China. It caused a tsunami. So as you can see I believe that volcanoes and earthquakes do have a pattern.

Reflection on questions
For this work I at first found this a bit hard. After I found it easy because I understood it. The question I found hard is How are minerals created and How can you identify a mineral. It took me about 15 minutes for both and about 5 minutes for the rest. I learnt a lot of interesting facts like diamond is the hardest mineral and pumes can flow on water. In conclusion in this unit I learnt many new things.

Reflection On MT Etna
My Prezentation
I think I did very well on my project because I had a lot of information and a video about volcanos. The thing I dodn't like is that my partner was always telling me to shorten it up and he stoped the video in the middle. Our prezentatio wasn't missing anything. I think for my grade I will get a 5 or 6, because I was prepared and had a LOT of information. Unfortunently I only said half of it.
Other Prezentations
I learnt a lot about volcanoes during the prezentations. I think I mostly learnt from Luka's prezentation. He incpiered me about MT St Helen. It affects people because the volcanoes could erupt every minut exept if its extinkt so people should be alert if they are close to the volcano. It affects the world because when it erupts there will be fertile soil.

Modeling Mantle Convection Currents
In science class we have been working on a small lab called Modeling Mantle Convection Currents. We did this lab in pairs or groups. I worked with two boys. Luka and Alfie. It took us a few times to get it right. The steps are:
1. Fill a large bottle 2/3ds ( the bottle has to be cut in half)
2. Put in a cup with hot water. the watter has to have food coloring in it. Use foil to cover the top and use a rubber band to make it stay.
3. Put some little pieces of paper in a form of a circle
4. Make 2 wholes with a pencil in the foil
You wil see what happens...
You should have gotten the pieces of paper coming together or separating to the side.

Growing Cristal Garden
Day 1: The places where I placed the crystals became very hard. It is still possible to move around but hardly. I placed some more solution and I will see what happens tommorow.
Day 2: Some of the places where the crystals are growing got softer then before!!! I added more solution to the walls of the garden and at the bottom crystals started growing. I put red, blue and green to the walls. It looks very cool, but a little bit like a painting.
Day 3: Nothing new happened over the weekend. I think that it stoped growing since I added more solution on Day 1.
Last day (after 2 weeks): This is my last edit on this post and nothing changed in my expiriment! If I added solution to it every day I would probably got crystals, unfortunently I didn't so they did not grow!
